The Royal Oak is located in the village of Much Marcle, on the A449 between Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye.
The perfect stop for a traditional pub lunch or to unwind with a pint of local ale or cider, whilst watching the sunset on the Herefordshire countryside.
Our menu focuses on home cooked meals including our very popular fish pie, Herefordshire Sirloin steak or if you’re after a lighter meal try one of our summer salads. Join us for a traditional Sunday roast dinner followed by one of our delicious desserts.
Our bar and beer garden are both dog friendly, our friendly staff can provide water bowls.
From tribute bands to comedy nights, murder mystery dinners to motorbike, car and motorhome rallies, family friendly quizzes to folk music, we have something for everyone. Check out our event listings below.
We are a pub which needs to be driven to, so we like to look after the designated drivers! We have a selection of non or low alcoholic beers and cider and for every 4 alcoholic drinks bought, the driver gets a free drink!
We have two private letting rooms, both with their own front door, en-suite bathrooms and a wonderful view over our own field.
Our self catering apartment has everything you need for a break in the countryside.
Looking to visit us with little ones, we have a selection of children’s toys and games or chose a story book from the ‘Little Free Library’. We have an exciting new Children’s Play Corner in our pub garden coming soon.
Our function room is available to hire for events including weddings, birthday parties, wakes, baby showers, or a more formal set up for meetings and conferences with screen and projector available. The function room can hold up to 100 guests with its own bar and toilets and doors opening out on to the patio. The hidden skittle alley can also be uncovered for skittle parties!
The Library is a semi-private room behind the bar which can cater for up to 30 guests, ideal for intimate dinner parties and celebrations.
We have a variety of groups that meet here for social evenings and events, including Vintage Sports-Car Club & Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club. Our large carpark overlooked by our patio is the perfect location for a Bikers Meet, join our ‘Marcle Meets’ group on Facebook.
